Ftira is a ring shaped bread which is usually eaten with filling. And the filling goes for sardines, tuna fish, potato, tomatoes, onions, capers and olives. Ftira is a leavened bread which calls for a starter. However if you dont have enough time or dunno how to handle a starter, dont worry you can still bake this leavened bread easily with an easy breezy starter. Gozo ftira from a region of Malta serve Ftira more like a pizza than a sandwich. Am running a month of blogging marathon aka Mega marathon with A-Z International Flatbreads. After some interesting flatbreads, my today’s post goes to Maltese flatbread aka Ftira. Ftira is completely eggfree and vegan as well. We had this bread for our breakfast with butter and jam. However this vegan Maltese flatbread makes an excellent sandwich as well. If you are looking for a different bread to prepare your sandwich dont forget to give a try this excellent bread.
